Goran Jezdimir and Boris Bartula originaly met at Sarajevo`s Academy of Music. Years later, they bumped into each other in Montreal and thus the musical collaboration known as the Gitans de Sarajevo began. Due to their love of music, seven musicians (al of ex-Yugoslav origine) have decided to overlook their origines, be it Serbian, Croatian or Muslim, and have united together to play gypsy music. The origines of gypsy music, its lack of roots and its joyously melancholic airs, is something that all of these musicians share and have in common.
